Join us as we craft a sacred tool together - crafting your own wand. A wand is a sacred tool used to direct energy- an extension of your own body. Different types of wood, and decorations of copper wire, gold wire, crystals, carved runes and symbols, etc all give it specific energies.
Bring your own piece of wood (good rule of thumb for a wand is that it's about the length of your forearm) or use some of ours - we will have oak, cedar and some other types to choose from.
Bring your own whittling knife or pocketknife for carving we do NOT have enough to share.
Bring anything you specifically want to use to decorate your wand. If you've got a special crystal, or other decor, bring it. We will have items here as well you can use.
While we craft our wands, our Hearthkeeper Mela will teach us about using a wand in our practice!
Families are welcome, but we require the adult/parent to do the carving for any kids. You can make a family wand together, or separate ones.
Bring -
- Wand wood if you have it
- anything special to decorate
- WHITTLING KNIFE OR POCKETKNIFE
- Camp Chair
There is no charge, but if you are financially able, we recommend $5 per person to cover our costs. We will have a can you can tuck some $ into if you are able! Or you can send to our paypal at paypal.me/greenwildfellowship.
***Because we need to know how many are coming, please update your RSVP once you know for sure you are attending or not attending. We want to make sure we have enough wands and such for everyone!***
